Homeowners were notified via email that the next HOA meeting on Tuesday, January 24, will be virtual, not in-person as many of the homeowners had asked for. Attached is a screen shot of my email correspondence that I had with our property manager from Thrive, Amy Taylor, regarding my request and information of how homeowners are advised of HOA meetings and how many are not advised via an email. She states that there are 60 homeowners that are NOT notified by email. So how are these 60 homeowners notified, if there is no place on our property to post meeting notices? Why has the HOA Board not responded to any homeowners requests thus far to have an in-person meeting so that the 2023 budget and corresponding assessment increase can be discussed?
Since this upcoming meeting is being held virtually, there needs to be the maximum number of homeowners logging in and participating in the meeting. UNITY IS A MUST!! We all need to voice our concerns regarding on-going virtual meetings, the 2023 budget, and the corresponding assessment increase.
Due to the sensitivity of the 2023 budget, assessment increase, and planned “enhancements,” including the Water Reduction Project and the Shade Expansion Project, noted in the November 30, 2022 letter, the HOA Board should not grant approval of any contracts for these projects until 2/3 of the homeowners have voted to approve moving these projects forward.
Keep in mind, HOA Board elections are coming up in a few months. Do you want to continue with the same lack of interest that the current HOA Board has shown to us homeowners???
